At the same time, she was working with different companies as a maker and performer and was teaching contemporary dance in different venues of the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2002 she moved to Barcelona where she continued her professional education with teachers such as Thomas Hauert, Alexis Eupierre, Mar\u00eda Mu\u00f1oz, Pep Ramis, David Zambrano, Gustavo Lesgart, Fabiana Caprioti, Lisa Nelson, Jeremy Nelson, Jo\u00e3o Fiadeiro, Kirstie Simson, \u00c0ngels Margarit, Lipi Hern\u00e1ndez, M\u00f3nica Extremiana, Lucas Condr\u00f3, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently and since 2012 she has been a member of the<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bigbouncers.info\/en\/2239-2\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Big Bouncers Collective<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;(together with Mireia de Querol and Anna Rubirola) with which she created pieces: <strong>Big Bounce<\/strong>&nbsp;(<em><strong>FAD Sebasti\u00e1 Gasch award Applause<\/strong>&nbsp;for emerging artists 2015<\/em>), <strong>Doppelg\u00e4nger<\/strong>&nbsp;(a performance created for the \u201cTom Carr. Echoes of Carles Bu\u00efgas\u201d exhibition); they directed&nbsp;<strong>I see<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>a spider on the wall,&nbsp;<\/strong>a performance for the Pryzmat company (Poland); they investigated and created&nbsp;<em>site specific&nbsp;<\/em>works in different non-conventional spaces (MACBA, Festival Sismograf de Olot, Cerdanyola Museum, La Pedrera, among others);&nbsp;<strong>O.V.N.I<\/strong>(performance nominated for the&nbsp;<strong><em>Performing Arts Critics Awards<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;2018), performance&nbsp;<strong>Acto Reflejo<\/strong>&nbsp;created in collaboration with students of the IES Mois\u00e8s Broggi secondary school within the frame of the EN RESiDENCIA 2018 project; their first piece for children <strong>Jungla&nbsp;<\/strong>was created in 2018 (supported by M\u00e9s Petit de tots Festival and Mercat de les Flors), following which they produced a dance film version of the performance titled <strong>Un d\u00eda en la Jungla<\/strong> directed by Laura Rubirola in 2020. <strong>Si estuvi\u00e9ramos solas en el Universo, ser\u00eda una gran p\u00e9rdida de espacio,&nbsp;<\/strong>is their last creation co-produced by Mercat de les Flors and presented in April 2019 within the frame of Big Bouncers Constellation. Currently, they are in the process of creating a new performance <strong>PLATA.<\/strong><br>Since the beginning, the collective has been combining creation with pedagogy, teaching composition and creation and offering workshops for families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She is currently also a member of the&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.grouplabolsa.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Group La Bolsa<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;(with Iris Heitzinger, Anna Rubirola, Mireia de Querol, Natalia Jimenez, Federica Porello and Xavi Moreno), with which they created&nbsp;<strong>The Measure of Disorder<\/strong>, directed by Thomas Hauert, premiered at the Grec Festival, Barcelona, in 2015 and performed at the Charleroi Danses Biennial, Belgium. In 2021 they premiered their second piece,&nbsp;<strong>Errant Portraits, <\/strong>in close collaboration with Mal Pelo company and supported by Mercat de les Flors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2018 she has been collaborating with Joan Catal\u00e0 in his project&nbsp;<strong>5.100 m\/s, <\/strong>premiered<strong> <\/strong>in 2020-2021. She was nominated as the best female dancer at the <em><strong>Performing Arts Critics Awards<\/strong><\/em> 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As an independent artist, she collaborated with other creators: since 2018 with Jo\u00e3o Lima in pieces&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ceciliacolacrai.com\/eng\/azul-como-uma-laranja\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/ceciliacolacrai.com\/azul-como-uma-laranja\/\"><strong>Azul como uma laranja<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;and <strong>Morder la lengua<\/strong>among other performance and pedagogical projects; since 2019 with the Si Los Martes Fueran Viernes collective in their projects <strong>Enemigos \u00cdntimos and<\/strong> <strong>Casa Nostra<\/strong>, among other projects; in 2022 she started collaborating with Lucas Condr\u00f3; with dancer Mart\u00edn Piliponsky and musician Mat\u00edas Mahmud in an instant composition proposal&nbsp;<strong>Espacio latente<\/strong>; with Jorge Albuerne from 2006 till 2016, in dance-circus pieces&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ceciliacolacrai.com\/eng\/ultimo-el-baile\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/ceciliacolacrai.com\/ultimo-el-baile\/\"><strong>Last, the dance<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ceciliacolacrai.com\/eng\/gira\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/ceciliacolacrai.com\/gira\/\"><strong>Gira<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/a>(with which they won the&nbsp;<em>\u201csection decouverte<\/em>award at the Festival de Rue de Ramonville \u201906); since 2009 she has been collaborating with the Finmatun Cultural Association, focusing on artistic activity as a tool for social work and transformation, currently she is part of the <strong>Festival Mit\u2019s<\/strong> organised by this association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a solo artist, her first work&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ceciliacolacrai.com\/eng\/sola\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/ceciliacolacrai.com\/sola\/\"><strong>Alone?<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;was premiered in 2005 and performed at several festivals in Spain, France, Italy, Cuba, Mexico and Argentina. Her second solo work&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ceciliacolacrai.com\/eng\/la-incorruptible-belleza-de-la-distancia\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/ceciliacolacrai.com\/la-incorruptible-belleza-de-la-distancia\/\"><strong>The incorruptible beauty of distance<\/strong><\/a>, December 2011, was created in collaboration with companies loscorderos and Nats Nus. In 2013 and 2014 she worked between Mexico, Argentina and Barcelona, teaching workshops and presenting her work at different venues and festivals. In 2022 she premiered her third solo creation, <a href=\"https:\/\/ceciliacolacrai.com\/eng\/rave\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>R.A.V.E. (Revolutionary Agglomeration for Voluntary Extermination)<\/strong>, <\/a>co-produced by Mercat de les Flors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She collaborated with different directors and projects such as: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teatrelliure.com\/es\/katharsis-presencia-i-alteritat\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ciclo Katharsis \u2013 Presencia y Alteridad<\/a>directed by Martina Tosticarelli, Teatre Lliure (2021); Quim Bigas in <strong>La Llista<\/strong> (2021), Emmanuel Grivet (Francia) in his performances\u00a0<strong>Le Cube<\/strong>\u00a0(2009-2012) and\u00a0<strong>Faces<\/strong>\u00a0(2012); Toni Mira and the Finmatun Association in dance film projects in prisons (2009-2012); with the Nats Nus company in performance\u00a0<strong>Brins<\/strong>\u00a0and different events such as\u00a0<strong>Transforma-t<\/strong>\u00a0(inaugural performance of the Fira T\u00e1rrega 2013 Festival) and\u00a0<strong>100 a\u00f1os de La Pedrera<\/strong>\u00a0(2012) among others; with the choreographer Sebasti\u00e1n Garc\u00eda Ferro in\u00a0<strong>Orquestra\u2019t<\/strong>\u00a0at Auditori de la M\u00fasica de Barcelona (2012); with Montse Colom\u00e9 at different events such as the \u201cPremios Ciutat de Barcelona'' award ceremony (2012), Festes de la Merc\u00e9 (2010), also, with her and with Santi San Pere in the\u00a0<strong>L\u2019enigma<\/strong>\u00a0Project T6 by the Teatro Nacional de Catalunya (2010); with Grupo Rep\u00fablica C\u00eanica (Brasil) in performance\u00a0<strong>Post it<\/strong>\u00a0(2009). She was a member of the Lapsus company directed by Alexis Eupierre in productions\u00a0<strong>Vitrinas II and Vitrinas III<\/strong>\u00a0(2007-2008); she worked with Gabriela Solini as a performer and assistant choreographer (2004-2005), they were awarded at the Madrid Choreographic Competition 2004 for their piece\u00a0<strong>H\u00e1blame<\/strong>\u00a0and performed at the Channel Sur Festival (Latino American Dance in New York) in 2005; she performed in\u00a0<strong>The Wayne Brothers<\/strong>\u00a0piece by Donna Uchizono (2000), among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As movement assistant she collaborated with: Jo\u00e3o Lima in<strong>&nbsp;O outro do outro<\/strong>&nbsp;(2010) and <strong>Cavalo do Cao<\/strong> (2021), Cia La S\u00fabita in <strong>Silver Ballad<\/strong> (2021), Producciones Viridiana in&nbsp;<strong>Cuando no me llueve encima me llueve dentro<\/strong>&nbsp;directed by Jes\u00fas Arbu\u00e9s (2010), Enfila\u2019t in <strong>Plecs<\/strong>&nbsp;(2010), among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She co-directed companies such as <strong>Lila Parra<\/strong> (2006\u20132008) and <strong>Viento Sur<\/strong> (with which she was twice awarded the 2nd prize at the Madrid Choreographic Competition \u2013 2002 and 2003).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She has been teaching contemporary dance, improvisation and choreographic composition classes since 1997 in Argentina and since 2002 in Barcelona and other cities in Europe and Latin America.<br>Currently, she is a member of the teaching teams at the <strong>Institut del Teatre de Barcelona<\/strong>, <strong>AREA<\/strong>, <strong>Moveo<\/strong> and in 2022 collaborates with <strong>Manufacture<\/strong>.<br>Since 2009 she has been part of the <strong>Sudansa <\/strong>project (dance in schools), and in 2017 and 2018 she was part of the <strong>Tot Dansa <\/strong>project (dance and creation project in secondary schools).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Between 2011 and 2017 she was part of the board of directors of the <strong>Asociaci\u00f3n de Profesionales de la Danza de Catalu\u00f1a<\/strong> which awarded her with the <strong><em>Honorary Award<\/em><\/strong> in 2020 as a recognition of her work during her years in the board of directors.\nShe was an associated artist of <strong>La Caldera centre for creation<\/strong> and <strong>La Visiva space for movement.<\/strong>.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cecilia Colacrai&nbsp; (Argentina, 1979) Bailarina, core\u00f3grafa y docente de danza.
